‘When I chatted with Domino about scheduling this album for release last November, we knew there was a chance that the launch wouldn’t be the usual red carpet affair.  But, ever the optimist, I went ahead and released it anyways.  6 months later and the red carpet is finally being rolled out for a launch of sorts in London’s Oslo on June 11th

Buried beneath the noise and the religious poetry and the stage invaders there’s an album of songs that are as personal as any I’ve written and I’m really, really excited to find out how it all translates into a full live show…all in front of a real audience!  There’s even talk of rehearsals happening, joy. Yes, the headline is true….Barbican in March with Crash Ensemble, Lisa Hannigan,  Paul Noonan and more amazing Irish songwriters and performers as part of Imagining Ireland (full details here).  You should come – the first part of this show has already happened in The National Concert Hall and was an absolute blast….here’s the proof

Its November and nearly 4 months since last post…slack.  We’ve launched the album, toured Ireland with the magnificent Arborist and are set to embark on a 6 date UK tour with another magnificent artist by the name of Alabaster DePlume  

And the album got a 5* review in the Guardian, alongside great reviews in Mojo, Q, Uncut, Irish Times and Hotpress…amongst others…its not all about the reviews but it’s particularly satisfying when you get get a full house.  And it might persuade you to come to a show, for those of you teetering on the brink (see ‘shows’ page)
